Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is a Catholic faith community reaching out to all people. As good stewards, we are inspired by God’s word to educate, evangelize and grow spiritually, strengthening ourselves as a Christian community.

St. Mary’s Village Church is a Roman Catholic community united through our common bonds of worship, faith formation, community building, outreach to others and responsible stewardship of resources. Together, we work to build up the Body of Christ by giving witness to the gospel message of Jesus.

Our Church property was purchased on December 7, 1921. The first services were held by our founding pastor, Father Aloysius B. Dubby. A lot has changed since then, but we are blessed to still be here and serving our 12 Points community.

St. mary's village

The faith of this pioneer community was nurtured in a small log cabin church in 1837. By 1844 a church building modeled on the pantheon in Rome stood on the present grounds of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. A strong bond was established with Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and her Sisters of Providence and continues to this day.
